My name is Charlie Featherstone and I am the Chief Instructor of the North East Tang Soo Do Academy based in Hartlepool. At the Academy we teach the traditional values of Tang Soo Do which include honour respect and self control not to mention the fantastic kicking and self defence techniques our style is famous for.

I have studied Tang Soo Do for 15 years and have been very fortunate to have trained with true world leaders in our style including the honour of guiding a number of my students to Dan Grade in this time.

My goal is to help all my students develop both as martial artists and as individuals. Tang Soo Do is without doubt a FAMILY orientated activity with an incredible age range starting from as young as 4 years old.

I also head our Fitness Academy which provides classes, personal assessments and programs including diet and nutritional advice. My aim is to help individuals become fitter, healthier, stronger both physically and mentally and learn to live a healthier lifestyle.

Finally my I close by saying that Traditional Tang Soo Do schools like those within Family Martial Arts Centres, Cornwall Tang Soo Do Academy and that of our own Academy consistently help people grow in confidence and self belief and produce true ‘LEADERS’.
